- External Exams: Appropriate scores on the SAT II, AP, IBHL, GCE “O” or “A” level exams. See a counselor for appropriate scores.
- Complete two years of formal schooling at the sixth-grade level or higher at an institution where the language of instruction is not English.
- Have competency verified by a faculty member associated with a California Community College. Such verification requires that the college provide a document on letterhead asserting that the student has mastered proficiency in the language equivalent to two years/second level of high school instruction.
