International Students

It is the policy of San José City College (SJCC) to admit all eligible international students for admission each semester. The online International Student Application may be accessed year-round; however, to be considered for admission, the application and other required documentation must be submitted by July 15 for the fall semester and by November 15 for the spring semester.  Applications received after these dates may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

International students are required to pay the non-resident tuition, enrollment, capital outlay, international health insurance, transportation, and campus health fees at time of registration. SJCC requires all international students to subscribe to the health insurance plan selected by the San José/Evergreen Community College District. SJCC does not accept any other U.S. or foreign-based insurance plans.  Only students who meet certain eligibility criteria may request a waiver by completing a health insurance waiver form and providing required proof by the first day of each semester.  Within the first month of the semester, students are required to submit proof of tuberculosis clearance and MMR immunization. All international students must adhere to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) guidelines as well as SJCC's International Student Program and college policies.

Prospective students interested in attending SJCC should access the International Student Application online at the program’s webpage.
