KINA 011     Sport-Specific Training for the Intercollegiate Athlete     1 Unit

Student athletes will participate in structured intercollegiate athletic training designed to improve physical conditioning, strength, endurance, agility, and sport-related fitness. Emphasis is placed on injury prevention, proper training techniques, and performance development. Instruction supports diverse learning needs and promotes inclusive participation. Students also develop discipline, teamwork, and strategies for balancing academic and athletic responsibilities. This course may be repeated while the student remains eligible under California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) regulations.

Enrollment Limitation(s): Enrollment is limited to students who have been selected for participation on an intercollegiate athletic team and who meet all eligibility requirements established by the college and the California Community College Athletic Association. KINA 057     Cross-Training for the Intercollegiate Athlete     1 Unit

Student athletes will participate in cross-training activities designed to prepare for intercollegiate competition. Emphasis is placed on developing muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and overall athletic performance. Instruction supports diverse learning needs and promotes inclusive participation. Students also develop discipline, injury prevention strategies, and approaches to balancing academic and athletic responsibilities. This course may be repeated while the student remains eligible under California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) regulations.
