Project Management - Certificate of Achievement Level 1
San José City College offers a Project Management Certificate, which is aligned with the industry-offered Google Project Management Professional Certificate. Students who complete this certificate will be exposed to and become proficient in the field of project management and prepare them for Project Management Institute Certifications like the globally-recognized Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
A "C" grade or better is required in all degree and certificate major and major elective courses. A ‘P’ (Pass) grade is an acceptable grade for courses in the major if the course is taken on a “pass/no pass” basis.

- Define project management and describe what constitutes a project.
- Define organizational structure and culture and explain how it impacts project management.
- Explain the Agile project management approach and philosophy, including values and principles.
- Explain the pillars of Scrum and how they support Scrum values.
- Define quality management standards and explore how to effectively share qualitative data.
- Demonstrate Microsoft Project effectively into key phases of the project management process.
