Global Studies Certificate of Achievement Level 1
The Global Studies Certificate includes course work that focuses on understanding the contemporary world, current global issues and the roles and responsibilities of individuals, organizations and governments. Students interested in pursuing careers in businesses, non-profit organizations or educational institutions with global connections will benefit from such knowledge.
All major and certificate courses including approved major electives must be completed with a grade "C" or better.
- Describe globalization in both political and economic contexts and its relationship to national, regional and cultural diversity
- Analyze major recurring and emerging global issues from interdisciplinary and international perspectives.
- Identify the the role(s) and responsibilities of active citizens in the local, national, regional and international arena
