Certificates of Achievement
San José City College offers Certificates of Achievement to prepare students for direct job entry. Many certificate programs can be completed in one year, while others are designed to be completed over a longer period of time. (Please consult with a counselor for more information.)
Certificate applicable coursework must be completed with a ‘C’ or better. Cumulative GPA will not be considered in satisfying eligibility requirements for the certificate. A “P” (Pass) grade (or “CR”/Credit) is also an acceptable grade for courses in the certificate.
Residency requirements for Certificates is defined as 6 units of courses required for the certificate at the college granting the certificate.
The college confers three levels of Certificates of Achievement to students who complete all required courses with a grade of ‘C’ or better.
