The Career/Transfer Center
Mission
San Jose City College is committed to supporting our students in achieving their educational goals by providing services and programs that promote career development and transfer to the UC, CSU and other baccalaureate degree granting universities and colleges. To do this, we provide a variety of quality and comprehensive services, events, activities, and resources throughout the year dedicated to each stage of career and transfer student development.
Career Transfer Counseling
Each of our counselors is trained to provide students with information related to major and career pathways, course articulation planning, information regarding transfer policies and agreements, and support on application for transfer admission. Students are highly encouraged to meet with their counselor each semester to ensure their educational plan is up to date, reflective of their educational goals, and meets the most current transfer admissions eligibility requirements for the major and campus of their choice.
In addition to this, the Career Transfer Center also provides specialized Career Transfer Counseling which assists students with advanced articulation and transfer eligibility planning, support in the transfer application process, connecting students with university representatives and resources, and further research and support for career and transfer inquiries.
Career Transfer Center
The Career Transfer Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Robert N. Chang Student Center (SC), Room 216A. It is open year-round for students and provides an open space students to engage in the career and transfer process.
